College Already?

Nah! Not just yet..but it's NEVER too early to start planning. We attended Academy night of the high school to see what direction we need to take. It amazed us to see how many scholarships are out there for people who just try for them. This next school will open a new chapter for Britt as Ian closes the one for high school. I can already feel it...this will be an emotional first day of school.

A Windy Day In St. Augustine

President's Day we packed up the mini van and headed to our favorite local place....St. Augustine!
After having the cousins over for a sleepover we woke up ate some breakfast, packed the cooler and headed off. Since it was windy and chilly we decided to hit Ripley's. We had fun reading about all the cool and freaky things. Our favorite part was looking at the folks on the other side of the mirror trying to roll their tongue. We stood their laughing until our ribs hurt. It was a wonderful day to be together and I just love building these memories with my own kiddos and niece and nephews.
Eric couldn't get over how big this man's hand was
Silly Girls

Christmas 2011

Better late than never, right? Things have been a little crazy since I went back to work and then we moved. We enjoyed Christmas in our new house. Wyatt was VERY determined to have a Christmass tree so as we were unpacking the house he took it upon himself to set up and decorate the tree:) The reindeer were well fed and all the kiddos were happy with the gift Santa left.

The Girls First Dance

She FINALLY turned 14 and got to go to her very 1st church dance!! She had the dress picked out long before that night and couldn't wait until it was time. Me and her dad were a little upset she didn't want us to chaperone, but we knew she was in good hands. I love my baby girl and enjoy seeing her get so excited to go out and shake her booty (thankfully she only goes to church dances:)

Class Ring

Middleburg High School had a very nice ring ceremony. They handed out all the rings and waited for all the students to open their box and put the rings on at the same time. Ian will have 13 people (year of graduation) turn his ring. The last person to turn his ring should be someone very special to him. I am very proud of the young man he has turned out to be and can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

Love is in the Air

Wyatt worked super hard stuffing all those goody bags for his classmates.
After battling all the CRAZY people searching for the "perfect" Valentine card I was able to make it home so Wyatt could make sure that everyone in his class could have an extra sweet Valentine's Day. As Eric and I were helping him close up all the bags, I got a little teary eyed thinking that this may be his last year giving out Valentines to his buddies in class. He is growing up so darn fast and we are relishing in every sweet moment of elementary school.
